Free to BE God’s Church
“It is for freedom that Christ has set you free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1).
God has blessed our church family with a campus that we use each week for worship and ministry. Many sacrifices have been made over the years to make this possible. We cherish those sacrifices and continue to honor them by how we worship and do ministry well.
We are also committed to finish what has been started so that we can accomplish even greater missions and ministry. We recognize that our building loan, though helpful in the past, has become a “yoke” on our shoulders. At our current rate of payments, we risk having this yoke until 2028, with interest totaling over $700,000! We currently must pay a minimum of $132,000 each year to cover the principal and interest on the loan. This amount is in addition to our general budget and missions giving. Imagine the freedom we would have to do greater missions and ministry if we no longer had to pay that money to the bank! If we removed this yoke, at our present rate of giving, we could…
Invest more in local youth outreach and service ministries
Invest more in local children’s and family ministries
Become more involved in regional and domestic missions
Become more engaged in global missions (adopt a people group)
Upgrade our video & sound technologies in our worship center
Become more faithful to our rainy day savings account And so much more!
This is the call of “Free to BE!” Together, let’s pray for a Countdown to Freedom during which God will multiply our sacrifices like He did with the fish and the loaves. As of January 2018, the Countdown is on and our current loan balance is $969,685. We encourage you to be part of this Countdown and look forward to that future day when our building debt will be no more and we will experience the freedom to BE the mission-driven church whom God has called us to BE.
