First Blessings Preschool provides early childhood education and care for children, and help them develop a range of skills that make them ready to learn when they start school.
Preschool programs are particularly successful in giving children a boost, putting them on even footing as they prepare to start school.
“Children are a blessing from the LORD; they are a gift from him.”
Several cognitive and socio-emotional benefits are associated with participation in preschool programs. Not only do they tend to increase children’s intellectual abilities, positive social behaviors, school commitment, and their likelihood of graduating from high school, but they also lower children’s likelihood of repeating a grade and of engaging in antisocial behaviors during their adolescence.
First Blessings Preschool offers a variety of activities both inside the classroom and outside of the classroom (i.e. field trips, special events, etc.) all centered on God’s Word.
We currently enroll students ages: 6 weeks-5 years by Sept 1 (current school year) for our Weekday Preschool and for our Mom’s Day Out program.
We use The Horizons Curriculum from Alpha Omega Publications. This Christian schools curriculum introduces preschoolers to formal learning with hands-on activities, games, and daily lessons. Laying a solid foundation in Christian values, each lesson starts with Scripture and flows from a biblical theme that incorporates social studies, language arts, math, phonics, science, cognitive development, pre-reading and numeracy skills, language acquisition, school readiness and more! Plus, each enduring lesson is filled with arts and crafts, music, story times, health and safety, and other exciting learning adventures!
