In Greater Hands

Posted by Jason Thomas on

In the Hands of the Ultimate Artist! Most of us would never look in the mirror and consider ourselves to be a work of art. Ok, maybe some of you would, but the truth is that each one of us has been created by a master artist who has designed us as the crescendo of His creation. God has shared this truth with us in Genesis 1 with the arranging of His earthly creation and humanity as the pinnacle of it. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Gen. 1:27). And God took the additional step of blessing the first people and entrusting them to have godly dominion over all of the rest of His earthly creation.
Our lives were (and still are) meant to bring glory to our glorious creator as the highlight of His creation. And so I would ask each one of us to consider, what went so terribly wrong? We all have rebelled against the one who created us and many of us are content to live lives that at best glorify us and not Him. In our new Sunday morning sermon series, we will be exploring our human condition and what God is doing about it. As the ultimate artist, God is the one who had to decide would there be a plan of redemption and how that plan will unfold. Do you know the plan? Have you experienced the plan?
I encourage you to read Ephesians 1 where a church planter named Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, begins to teach us about God’s plan and how God has made a way through the blood of Jesus. You and I are the workmanship in the Master’s hands, and through faith in Jesus, God is restoring us to be the masterpieces that He created us to be. I can't wait to share more with you through this new series in the weeks ahead!   -Jason
